Serving Missionary Addresses

It's not as nice, but you could put the addresses in the new newsletter application (currently in beta). Members of the bishopric (including clerks/exec sec) can get the mission addresses, including pouch codes, from CDOL.

I may be on the wrong thread. But what's the status of posting the mission home address in LUD from CDOL automatically?

[LUD][Missionary][Serving Missionaries][Select a missionary in the field...] ...and I get a nice mission boundary map but no mailing address. As a ward clerk, I have to go look it up in [CDOL]. I understand security and frequent location changes dictate not giving out 'the actual missionaries mailing address' but how about the mission home mailing addr at least in LUD? (so I don't have to go look things up in CDOL...)

Why was the feature from LDS Classic to access Mission postal addresses not continued on the new site? There is no breach of privacy as most of these addresses are a Post Box address for each mission. It doesn't show the location of anyone.

Just so you know... the iMOS (internet mission office system) feeds into the membership directory for the unit in which the missionary is serving. Thereby the serving unit can see the the missionaries' name (Elder John Doe, for example), photo, and phone number. These all come from the iMOS system and are updated whenever transfers occur. Noteably absent however is the missionary apartment address. However again, that information is available in iMOS and could be provided to the serving and/or home units. That said, from our experience in two mission offices, I would still recommend sending all packages, etc. to the mission office unless otherwise directed by the mission.
