The full list of groups for a ward is
  • Bishopric
  • High Priests Group
  • Elders Quorum
  • Relief Society
  • Sunday School
  • Young Single Adult
  • Single Adult
  • Young Men
  • Young Women
  • Primary
  • Technology
  • Activities and Sports
  • Ward Missionaries
  • Employment and Welfare
  • Music
  • Facilities
  • Family History
  • Other Callings
My CDOL position list looks similar, but is more like this...
  • Bishopric
  • High Priests Group
  • Elders Quorum
  • Relief Society
  • Sunday School
  • Sunday School
  • Sunday School
  • Sunday School
  • Sunday School
  • Sunday School
  • Young Men

  • Primary
  • Primary
  • Primary
  • Primary
  • Primary
  • Activities and Sports
  • Other Callings
  • Ward Missionaries
  • Family History
  • Music
  • Other Callings
Yes, there are 9 Primary headings, 6 Sunday School headings, and 2 Other Calling headings. When expanded, one of the duplicates will contain the bulk of the positions, while the others only contain 1 or 2 positions each. I wonder if these "extras" are related to some of the other problems people are reporting in the thread.

I hate to be negative, but lately it seems that for everything that's getting fixed, two other things are breaking as a result of that fix. :)

With the updates of CDOL and MLS we've noticed a couple of small problems in Directory when displaying callings. If you'll please post a good description of the problem (a screen shot would be great!) on this thread we'll be sure and address those problems in the next release of Directory. Thanks.

I'm having similar problems. Is there somewhere I need to report this, or will the fix be pushed out?

Right now, I see multiple "Primary" and "Ward" categories in CDOL. In MLS, everything looks right. The "Ward" callings are actually a single custom calling in YW, but it shows up multiple times in CDOL. LDS.ORG and downloads follow the CDOL format. We are also missing the missionary organization even though I've used the standard callings for ward and full-time missionaries.

In looking through the wiki, I found a procedure to do a unit refresh and then correct the callings. This seems rather drastic and I want to make sure it will really work before I do it.

Thanks for your help.

I had the same issue, duplicate callings in CDOL. Since I was unable to get a refresh I went in and removed the callings in MLS, that in turn fed CDOL and the duplicate was taken out. However it left MLS incorrect. I felt it was better to be sure CDOL was correct as it feds so many other sites. Anyway, this morning I got a message from Salt Lake: "We've seen an error in the MLS logs, so we are working with the MLS team to figure out why it isn't processing the refresh."

So they are working on it and hopefully a fix will be coming soon.

Here ya go. If you need one with the callings expanded, I can send that privately.

This issue no longer appears in Directory:
jdlessley wrote:My ward directory now has six primary classes listed in the filter results for ward leaders. They are CTR 4, CTR 6, Nursery, Sunbeam, Valiant 10, and Valiant 9. There is nothing unusual about the callings of members for those classes in MLS that I can see that would contribute to removing them from Primary and having them listed separately.
However CDOL has the same issues:

Directory lists what CDOL has listed so if there are duplicates in CDOL you'll see them in Directory. If your Directory listing doesn't mirror CDOL then the problem is in Directory. If Directory matches CDOL but is still incorrect then we need to look to CDOL.

I've forwarded this thread to the CDOL group to see if we can figure out where the problem is. Thanks for all the input.

It's the various organization "headings" that need the focus of the development team(s). For example, in my ward's Local Unit Directory (screen shot attached) all of the Sunday School callings are properly nested under ONE Sunday School heading, instead of six as shown in my unit's CDOL.

However, the Primary in my Local Unit Directory shows two Primary headings which is an improvement over our CDOL's nine. What's funny is the one Valiant 9 instructor position that appears by itself under the 2nd Primary heading (see attached) is NOT listed by itself in the CDOL.

As far as I can tell, all the names and callings in the Local Unit Directory match the CDOL, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason what's producing the multiple headings in each of the listings.

We are working on this. Part of the problem is that we released some changes in preparation for MLS 3.5, but since we have found some issues with MLS 3.4.3 that we didn't see in testing :(

I didn't see Boy Scouts mentioned in any of the previous postings or see it in anyone's screenshots. I assume that's a valid category? Boy Scouts shows up in our CDOL.
cdol.jpg
Also, we have two Beehive classes (20 girls) and so have two presidencies. They all appear in CDOL correctly
beehive.png
but the second beehive class presidency shows up as a separate 'young women' category in the directory.
yw.jpg
The first YW category contains all the adult leaders and all the class presidencies except the 2nd beehive class presidency. It sounds like this is essentially the same problem others are having and is caused by the upcoming transition to MLS 3.5. This postmentions the new 3.5 update.
