I am trying to get my membership number. I can't get into the directory to contact the ward clerk without it and I can't get it anywhere else. The phone number listed online for the church is not working either.

I can see mine by clicking on my own entry in the directory, either using tools or on the web.

Have you tried using Meetinghouse Locator ( https://maps.churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng ) to send a message to the bishop?

If it's on your church account, you should be able to go to https://account.churchofjesuschrist.org/ to see it, even if you can't get into your directory.
