Temple Recommend Status Incorrect in LDS Tools

Is it possible there is a class of callings that are showing the line for temple recommend but not getting the real data? The sister who was having the problem in our stake is a ward RS President.

This is my suspicion as well. Something is telling LDS Tools to show the field, but the data is not available for the user so it shows expired. I have had multiple people ask me about this as well. The latest person to ask me was a counselor in the Primary Presidency, so it appears it might be anyone in a leadership position. (Not sure why they don't just pull out their recommend and look at it though... )

Looking at the release notes, it looks like personal membership info will be available around 11/9/15.

So this may be a feature that isn't fully in place yet. Perhaps Tools has jumped ahead of the data feed. It may be worth waiting a couple of weeks to see if this resolves itself.

Good catch. At least on Android, the 2.5.0 Beta is available to download here: http://tech.lds.org/dl/android/org.lds.ldstools/ so if one is impatient and has a willing test subject, the answer could probably be had quickly.

There seems to have been a recent update on the Android side. I now see quite a bit of information about myself.

If you see an updated app in the app store, it might be time to load it and see if this problems is resolved.
