Yep, I saw the signup and have granted you access.

As far as sending to a 3rd party, I don't do that. Also, as I don't really collect any info other than member names and callings, I don't see what would be useful to someone else. I served 10 yrs as a Stake Clerk and 7 as Stk Finance clerk as well as a few sints as a Ward Assistance clerk (Member/Finance), so I understand the concept of private info, and make it a point to adhere to as much as I can. I'm just a guy who built an app for my stake in such a way that others can also use it - ,my contribution to the work, if you will. I was released this last june to go to the mission presidency.. (Feel free to check CDOL to valide if you want)

As far as using it.. The system is built for managing the actual process 'making a calling/release happen".. There is an import facility as part of the admin functions that will let you import the names from LCR and keep that calling dates. This is not a scraper, but rather a CSV import..(copy/paste from LCR to excel/sheets, make needed adjustment, and upload to CallingHelper) a scraper gets into the zone where I get uncomfortable. And again, this import was because I wanted my stake to have the historical info available for use. the system can see that your proposal for a new presidency will need to release the current one and counsellors, so it pulls the names from historical and proposes to add those as well. The archive also allows a leader to see what callings a person has had in the past (a question that often comes up as callings were discussed, but the answer is often "dunno, let's ask"). It can also tell you which callings have had people that currently do not (looking to find a calling for someone??)

As alluded to, this was built to make my life easier as a clerk, not to make some money, though as an IT professional, I understand the question, as the act seems to pop up in odd places. But it's just not of interest to me.. doesn't jive with my "mission statement" (don't have one really, but I do refer to "what can and can't a clerk do with confidential info")

I hope this can hope aleviate your concerns.
Marc
