Indexing on FHAR

Post by wrigjef »

What qualifies as indexing on the report? Isn't indexing called something else like verify names, will completing name verification move the indexing needle on the report?

In the FHAR Guide (section 1), we read:
Note: This report does not include Get Involved statistics. To see the Get Involved and Indexing numbers, see the Get Involved Report.
Since the old indexing program is no longer available, it's not very helpful that the only indexing statistics on the FHAR are from an obsolete program. But for now, all we can do is go to the separate Get Involved Report to see the statistics for the various Get Involved activities -- that's the best analog to the former Indexing program. Note that the list of callings for people who can see the Get Involved Report is not exactly the same as those who can see the FHAR. So some people will be able to see the FHAR, but not the Get Involved Report.

I still really wish that consultants had access to the FHAR. It would seem to make sense since they have access to the get involved report. Also, if they want to monitor activity and where their services are needed most, it would make sense for them to have access to the FHAR.

I believe the idea is that the leaders should be the ones to determine direction and steps to be taken. The consultants are a resource in accomplishing goals, but are not responsable for the numbers. The leaders, including the ward council is responsable. Consultants are not to be "self-activating".

It is perfectly fine for the consultants to be curious about the numbers and ask the leaders where they should be focusing their effort.
