Missionary Recommendation System - Notifications

The Stake President, Stake Clerk (me), and Stake Executive Secretary have been frustrated recently by the lack of notifications from the system. We don’t get any notice when a bishop submits (this has been somewhat remedied by telling them to send us an email when they complete the process) and even worse is we didn’t get a notice telling us that a submission was sent back to the stake for a photo that needed to be fixed (we only found out about this when the bishop reached out to get an update).

Is there something we’re missing? Are we just expected to login on a regular basis to find out what changes are being made?

Do you get other Church related notifications (e.g. temple appointment notifications, ward communications from LCR, stake communications from LCR)? I don't know the inner workings of how the missionary recommendation system sends its notifications, so I don't know if there is any relationship between any of these Church services. I also don't know if the system is supposed to send out notifications, but since this is a self-help forum, I thought I would ask.

Yes, we get notifications sent out with the “Send Message” tool.

Turns out there is a way to turn on notifications, but you have to do it from a computer. The option doesn’t show up for me when I use my iPad.

There’s a management menu option, that allows a drill down (if on your computer) that shows “notifications”. Hopefully this will work!
