Has the "basic" subsite gone away?

Some time ago, on my 4G Android flip-phone (Schok Classic), I had bookmarked a few endpoints at "basic.churchofjesuschrist.org/study" for General Conference, scriptures, and library. I had tried to go to the regular flavor of conference or scriptures but got a dialog about the browser not being supported, with an opportunity to go to "basic" instead. That subsite loaded faster and had navigation more suitable for the limited browser.

However, recently, those bookmarks now get redirected to the regular (non-basic) areas, which take much longer to load and are considerably more difficult to navigate.

I sent feedback. If I get a response of possible general interest, I'll post a summary.

I got a reply from the Gospel Library Response Team, and it said

Thank you for contacting us! Unfortunately it does look like the basic site was removed!
