Hyperlinks stopped working after update

My father in law recently updated his iPad and now version 2.4.7's hyperlinks within the lesson manual Come Follow Me wont work. Some of the scripture links work but all the others continually say the content must be downloaded first. I downloaded everything and tried it, still nothing worked. I tried uninstalling all content except the manual and the one conference talk the hyperlink was intended for, still nothing. I tried uninstalling the app and re-installing yet nothing worked. Not sure what to do...

Some of my hyperlinks arent working either. Those that don't work are simply not highlighted or tappable. Does anyone know how to update links? Thanks.
