Former Mission Leader Limited Visibility

Post by matthew.lapointe@gmail.com »

I recently received an email to opt in to allow "Former Mission Leader Limited Visibility". When I click on the opt in option on the email it takes me to a web page with the following:
mission.JPG
If you look at my record in LCR it shows my mission and clearly whatever is driving the email I received knows I went on one too. Something is broken on the opt in/mission page as it is not seeing I went on one.

This is the URL of the picture above: https://account.churchofjesuschrist.org/mission

This feature is slowly being rolled out for those who served during specific times. Since you should not receive an email until your group is being added, you may wish to send feedback through the webpage to let the developers know something is amiss.

My guess is that there was a difference in requirements (or in the interpretation thereof). We were give the year 2000 as the cut off for this for now and for the service that provides the list of missions it was implemented as you had to start serving in 2000 or later. My guess is that the team that managed the email notifications took it to mean ended service in 2000 or later.

I have same issue - we served from 2002 - 2005. When I go to opt in, I get the same response that "No recent mission history found." I got the email inviting me to join and I did serve. So how can there be no history found. Thank you for any suggestions or help you can provide.

According to the FAQ, "If you served from 2000 to the present and your mission information is not listed, please contact your ward clerk."

It looks like we have some mission president service history that isn't showing in that table. I can find that service in the position history. We may have to review those pairings to see how many we have missing.

As a former mission president serving after the 2000 cutoff, I did see missionaries listed that I presumed had opted in. Now they are no longer visible, so I don't know if the program has been discontinued, stopped for a season, or I don't know where to find the links. If any former mission president is able to view their missionaries, can you share how to get to the list?

Thanks,
