Custom Report : Spouse of Head of Household

Hi,

Trying to build a custom report of youth that includes their parents names (head of house/spouse of head of house). The report is only returning Head of House data whether I use the "Head of House and Spouse" column header or try the "Head of House" + "Spouse of Head of House".

I created a trial report where the primary search criteria was on the "parents" and I'm able to get the data if I use any of the "Head of House and Spouse", "Head of House" + "Spouse of Head of House", so it's not an issue of data not being linked.

I would hazard a guess it's a primary key issue in that a child's record is linked to the head of house based on my trial report working (ie a spouse would also tie to the head of house but not necessarily to a child's record, at least for building reports)

Is there a way to build a custom report that captures a child in a household with both parents names? The only other option I can see is to dump to a spreadsheet and hand insert the other parent's name.

I think you have run into an issue with the Create a Report programming. When I created a new report to show children (age <= 17) displaying the columns Preferred Name, Head of House, and Head of House and Spouse I only got the head of house in the Head of House and Spouse column. It should have shown both parents and not just the head of house in the Head of House and Spouse column. This is a bug.

I recommend you contact the GSD and have them create a ticket for this.

Note: Only children of record will be displayed in a custom report. The report will be missing children without a record. Also children with a MRN who's parents/guardians are not members will be listed as the head of house. Their parents/guardians will not be listed. For either of these two situations your report will not be accurate/complete.
