Confirming member information
My Bishop would like, during Tithing Declaration, to have the members verify the information we have for them in the system. We have a good amount of turnover and so he wants to be sure we have their email, cell phone, preferred name, and that the rest of the info is correct also. Is there a report I am missing that will give this on a page by page basis so that when they arrive and are waiting, we can give it to them and have them verify/change what we have and then we can adjust it in the system? I know I can put these things in a custom report but I didn’t want to share one person’s info with another.

Re: Confirming member information
I have seen cases where the clerk sits outside the bishop's office during tithing settlement and has families review/update their information with him prior to going in to meet with the bishop. Of course, that becomes more difficult if the bishop is meeting with anyone virtually or outside of normal appointment times.
I always asked the bishop to mention to the families as part of their tithing settlement discussion that any errors in their information should be reported to the clerk (we provided a copy of their membership records for their review along with their tithing settlement information). Usually, however, the ones with contact information problems didn't come to tithing settlement either...

So, how did you provide that? How did you print out a page per family or individual to do that?davesudweeks wrote: Thu Sep 14, 2023 12:50 pm we provided a copy of their membership records for their review along with their tithing settlement.

Re: Confirming member information
The instrument to provide record information to members is the Individual Ordinance Summary (IOS). Members may view membership information for themselves and for any dependent children living at home on the Member Tools app. They may also request printed copies of their IOSes from the clerk. The IOS can be printed individually or by household (In this case household is defined as the head(s) of household and any dependent children living at home). Only the bishop, ward clerk, assistant ward clerk, and assistant ward clerk - membership can print theses summaries. This is done by opening a membership record of a member of the household, click the print link, select either Individual Ordinance Summary for that individual or select Household Ordinance Summaries for the entire household, and click the Print button.

Re: Confirming member information
I would print a family record for each family and include it with their tithing status report that was distributed before tithing settlement (we put the paperwork in obsolete #10 envelopes in the clerk's office that had prior bishop's return address so the information would be protected while handing out) - just hand-wrote the family name on the envelope. The clerks would instruct the parent(s) to verify all the information was accurate for the family - they could keep for their records, or mark any changes on the family record and turn it back in for update.
Keep in mind, it has been a few years since I was a clerk (a number of years leading up to the end of MLS). We still used MLS for most finance functions and a few membership functions when I was released. We printed more than most wards do today (though I found we had many members who weren't technically savvy and liked the printed forms). I don't know what the family report looks like in LCR now.

I can’t find a family report but I found I can just print the individual’s page butut would have to do it for each family member, rather than one page that has info for the whole family. Luckily, our ward is mostly just couples.

Re: Confirming member information
When I am on an individual's membership record in LCR, and select the "Print" icon, I get 4 options:I can’t find a family report but I found I can just print the individual’s page
For Bishops and Clerks: "Individual Membership Record" and "Household Membership Records"
For Members: "Individual Ordinance Summary" and "Household Ordinance Summaries"
Selecting the Household Ordinance Summaries will generate a multi-page output containing an IOS page for each household member. I believe this is likely what you are looking for.

Re: Confirming member information
Thank you so much. I had not gotten to the point of hitting that Print button and just assumed (my bad) that it would print that individual “screen”. This will help a lot.BrianEdwards wrote: Fri Sep 15, 2023 9:23 amWhen I am on an individual's membership record in LCR, and select the "Print" icon, I get 4 options:I can’t find a family report but I found I can just print the individual’s page

Re: Confirming member information
Thinking back, I believe I did print IOS sheets for each family member. I would ask parents to check ordinance and ordination details for their children so they could be corrected if needed. My apologies for leading you to believe there was one report that had everything for the whole family - it has been a few years and I used MLS to do it when I was a clerk.
