Birthday's for Ministers

Post by tmortensenii »

Hi, I was curious if we are alone in thinking that Birthday's would be a nice add for ministering people to have for their families. We have a lot of people come and ask us or the organization leaders so they can surprise them for the Birthday.
Thanks!

The problem is that today's society considers birthdays as personal information.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

@tmortensenii, if you search the forum, you can find several posts where individual members were "very concerned" that since they could see their own birthdate in Member Tools, everyone else could as well (they cannot, but convincing them of the facts can be difficult). I agree with you that having access to the birth month and birth day would be useful in ministering, but you will probably have to reach out to your families and ask them that question if you want the information. You can request it to be added via the feedback link in the app, but I don't think the church will add it in for general membership view (my opinion only - I have no special knowledge or connection with church IT).
