Staples in-person discount
Is there any discount code or process to get a discount on office supplies or copy services in-person at a Staples location in the US?

Not that I am aware, as from a security standpoint it would be very difficult to limit to just Church use as a practical matter.khorning1 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2024 9:07 pm Is there any discount code or process to get a discount on office supplies or copy services in-person at a Staples location in the US?
Staples items ordered through the approved Church link normally can be delivered the next business day in many US locations on in-stock items. There is no way of course to do copy services through the Church link.

Re: Staples in-person discount
I tried a purchase locally in person at a Staples store in Michigan and was refused. Only via online and shipping was the store reply. Since the the Ward building is 30 miles away from my house. I have to ship it to my house (ward clerk) or the bishops house, and lug stuff to the church. Paper Reams Box product. Small stuff is not a problem, but I wonder about shipping costs expense? Does the cost of the shipped product offset the discounts?
I could just buy the product and get reimbursed in an emergency. I did not take the time yet to do a cost analysis if I figure my cost of gas after it ships it probably is not cost smart.

I believe Staples still delivers for free, at least in their own delivery area. Not sure if that is true in rural areas or not.gkdyer wrote: Sat Apr 20, 2024 7:05 pm I tried a purchase locally in person at a Staples store in Michigan and was refused. When I was clerk, I wouldn't make a separate trip to deliver materials to the church unless it was urgent. I would just take them with me the next time I was going anyway (but in my case it was only about 5 miles each way). I agree with other comments that Staples likely delivers free for the church contract. I would also try to watch supplies monthly and plan purchases so I could order everything needed at the same time (we were the agent ward so I was responsible for our clerk office supplies, library supplies (paper/toner), and cleaning/restroom supplies (for the building that 3 wards shared). I had to invoice the other two wards for their share of the library supplies.
If the cost of gas is an issue, I believe the church has a process to be reimbursed for mileage when using your personal vehicle for church business.
