Non-Functioning Status of Patriarch

Post by nomoser »

Hello,

We have a new patriarch in our stake and need to designate the previous patriarch as "non-functioning". I don't see in the handbook or in the "Information and Suggestions for Patriarchs" booklet how this is done. Is this something that the stake does either in LCR or in the patriarchal blessing system, or is this a designation that has to be changed by someone in Salt Lake?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I believe the Stake President should contact the office of the Quorum of the Twelve to have this done.
