Adding adults and leaders to multiple classrooms for role keeping

Post by brandontylerbott »

Hi, My ward is now taking role electronically, through the LDS Tools app but having challenges marking adults or orgnization leaders who may attend multiple classes. For example, if the Young Women's leadership attends the 12-13 year old class one week and the 14-15 year old class next week, the Secretary has to log into multiple classes to mark the leader. Similarly for Relief Society and Elder's Quorum it can be tricky to keep accurate roles for Primary teachers. Is it possible to list people in multiple classes (Primary & Relief Society)? Thanks!

The system does not currently support that.

How would the secretary log into multiple classes to mark leader attendance? The young women presidency and all young women adult leaders and teachers do not show up in the Member Tools, or LCR , Young Women Class roles for attendance. They only appear in the Relief Society roles for attendance. The Young Women secretary does not have access to the Relief Society class role to mark attendance.

The Sunday School secretary has access to all Sunday School class attendance roles youth courses and the adult Gospel Doctrine. But the adult leaders and teachers are not found listed in the youth classes for attendance. So when the Sunday School secretary is taking Sunday School attendance he would have to select the Gospel Doctrine class to mark the attendance of the adult leaders and teachers attending a youth course.

It is not possible for the Primary secretary to access the Relief Society and Elders Quorum meeting attendance roster to record Primary leader and teacher attendance in Primary classes. The Primary secretary has to coordinate with the RS and EQ secretaries the Primary leader and teacher attendance.

With that understanding of how the Class and Quorum Attendance tool currently works you can see that taking everyone's attendance electronically real time is not possible today.
