Several of our buildings show up on Google Maps with numbers that are issued to Missionaries.
I've been asked by our mission office to come up with a solution. My preference is to register as the owner and delete the number. One suggestion was to put a Google Voice automated message about where to get info, etc, but not sure what others are doing.
I've at least started with suggesting an edit and saying I don't know the right one, but this one is not it...might need a ward campaign to pull that off...
Google Voice might be hard to handle since we'd have to toe the line on a free account.

Re: Editing Google Maps info: Missionary numbers
Check with the stake communication council. Someone there is managing the building information though a service called Yext.
This was announced in a letter from the Church Communication Department to Area, Mission, Stake, and District Presidencies; Bishoprics and Branch Presidencies dated January 12, 2023.
It sounds like the stake and the mission office needs to work out something together.
If it were up to me (it's not), and if it were possible, I'd leave the number off and put a link to the ward's public local unit webpage(s).
