iPad app crashing.

My iPad Gospel Library app had been working fine until suddenly yesterday I tried to open it and it just brings up the first screen then closes. I can't get into anything. I tried updating to 2.3.0 (I've stayed current with every update) and my iTunes says it downloads, but then when I go back into the store after trying to install the app it still has the "update" option, as if it didn't update. - I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, and it doesn't help. Ideas?
